Organized Living
Automobile Organization
During the summer months families will spend a significant amount of time in their automobiles. Rather on a long road trip, beach days, or other daily excursions. Our cars have become our homes on wheels, and similar to our home space we need to have a plan of action to keep things tidy.
The needs of each family are different based on the age of
the children, but there are essentials every family should have in the car.
- Auto Safety Kit
- Non-Perishable Food Items
- Water
- First Aid Kit
- Car Registration and Insurance Documents
With the essentials in place, now we can discuss how
maximize our automobile space. The key areas are the glove compartment, center
console, and the trunk.
Glove Compartment
Your glove compartment is not a catch all. If you find
yourself forcing it closed, it is time for reorganization.
Tip! Only keep important documents, small first aid kit,
cell phone charger, and napkins in your glove compartment.
Center Console
Tip! Simple tossing away the unnecessary will instantly give the area a
makeover.

Trunk
The main purpose of your trunk to have a clear space to temporarily transport times. There are many car organizers on the market, but remember the ultimate goal is temporary transport and not permanent storage.
Tip! Be prepared for emergencies, and leave space to transport.
Overall, when it comes to organizing our automobiles daily purging is key. Make it habit to toss something out every time you do a fill up. We want to keep the space functional and clutter free.
