Walk With Thoughtfulness

Walking The Illuminated Path

Thoughtfulness

We live in a world that is often self-centered and callused. We make time for others only when it is convenient for us. The “whatever” and “I don’t give a damn” approach to life is not a fruit of a Holy Spirit.

Thoughtfulness considers others, and gives attention and care to their feelings first. Thoughtfulness allows you to see the needs around you and not just what you require. It is a form of love that seeks to uplift and do good whenever possible. Thoughtfulness is the opposite of selfishness, yet, it does not cause us to neglect ourselves. It is especially appreciated when it is not expected. Being thoughtful will not allow schedules to take priority over people.

Make it a practice to be more mindful of others and thoughtful in your actions.

Ways To Practice Thoughtfulness

  • Slow Down and Listen To The Needs of Others
  • Follow Through – See a Need, Meet a Need
  • Care – If you lacking resources, at least tell the person you care.
  • Don’t expect anything in return
  • Remember the magic words – “Please” “Thank You”

True thoughtfulness comes from deep within the core of your heart. If you are finding it difficult to be thoughtful you may need to do a bit of soul searching to resolve issues of the heart.

Do you consider yourself a thoughtful person? How can you be more thoughtful towards others?
