Don't Give Up - Walking With Resilience

Walking The Illuminated Path

Resilience

Resilience can make a significant difference in your life, your work and your future. Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity. The goal of resilience is not to achieve power and wealth, although that might happen. The goal of resilience is to remain faithful to God so that you can bless others.  In life we have to train with the heart of a champion in all of our endeavors (i.e. school, relationships, careers, health, etc...).  We must have the discipline and endurance to stand our ground even in the face of opposition.

Traits of Resilience

Here are some common traits you can find in all resilient people. What would you add to the list?

  • Clear Life Purpose
  • Positive Outlook
  • Practice Self-Control
  • Responsible For Their Choices
  • Give Generously
  • Forgive and Move On
  • Obedient to the Word of God
  • Spirit of Gratitude
  • Live in the Present

I have never seen a life that was free of trial. At some point everyone faces adversity and will have an obstacle to overcome. One of the mantras we live by in our house is "Life is not what happens to you, but how you respond".  Making a choice to live with resilience will give you an edge over the competition.  Live with tenacity and refuse to give up on the things you know are right. Learn be thankful for all of your experiences because those are the things that build your character.  Resilience doesn’t negate life challenges, but it is a positive coping mechanism available when we walk in the spirit.

If you have something deep inside that keeps inspiring you to try, don’t give up on you.

Continue to walk with resilience.
