“If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.” —Jack Kornfield

When was the last time you paused to give yourself credit for you for making good Godly choices, being selfless and giving, overcoming obstacles, and doing right thing with humility?

Not taking any credit from God, because we all know he shares his glory with no one. Isaiah 42:8

However, we have be careful of enemy that prowl. Scheming to make us feel unworthy and inadequate. Telling us our best is never good enough, so many times that we just stop trying.

Beware! ⚠️

For this reason, I encourage you practice self-Compassion.

"Self-Compassion is the ability to understand, accept, love, and be kind to yourself.  In the midst of trouble, failure, or deep regret, it is the tool God gave you to continue running this race called life." -  Corine Williams, Ph.D , Therapy for Christians

How to Cultivate Self-Compassion:

  1. Mindfulness: Be present and aware of your feelings without judgment.
  2. Kindness: Treat yourself as you would a good friend.
  3. Common Humanity: Recognize that everyone faces challenges and imperfections.
  4. Guided Practices: Try meditation or self-compassion exercises.
  5. Tools You Can Use: Self-Compassion by Kristin Neff: Join the Community Now

Remember, self-compassion is about treating yourself with the same kindness you’d offer to others. Start small, be patient, and practice regularly.
