At times you may look in the mirror and it will not speak to you, or it tells you something different than what you feel on the inside.  Having a support system in place to cultivate the image you would like to see as a reflection is vital.  Surround yourself with people and resources that build you up and remind you of the person you want to be.

Remember the movie Field of Dreams “if you build it they will come”?  This is the spirit you must have to quite the naysayer voice that wants to overshadow the champion in you.

Be the Light.  Affirm someone else. Nothing lifts the spirits like knowing you made someone’s day with just a kind word.

Some people should drink a shot of “COMPASSION”, smoke a “JOY” joint, deep vein some “LOVE, and eat a whole plate of “REDEMPTION ”. ~Illuminated Living~

Has your vice become a stumbling block?  To live your best life you must recognize when your vice is hindering you from doing all you could be doing with your life. When vices begin to hurt others around you, you must take responsibility for the choices you make. 

No human being is perfect.  We must make a habit of course correcting. “One key quality for a leader is the ability to get back on track when something has gone awry.” from Bloomberg BusinessWeek “Course-Correcting for Growth”.

To continue to do the same thing and expect different results is insanity.

Can you stop overeating? Can you control your drinking? Can you put the cigarette down? The real answer is "of course you can." The issue is will you? Your life is not your own you have been purchased at the highest cost. Ephesians1:7 NIV states, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”  You have been called to serve and love just as the one who died for you.  My fellow believers it is time for us to rise and fulfill our job descriptions.  Take the next steps to be a better person so that we can serve in our fullest capacity.  May we always tell each other the truth in love and hold each other accountable.

We must recognize the snares of opposing forces.  As I listen to many of the recent headlines I am reminded that the enemy comes to kill, steal, and cause chaos.  We must rise above divisive forces, and walk with authority. Sadly, in a world plagued by increasing inequalities in wealth, terrorism, and weather disasters, lawlessness is a phenomenon that is likely to be with us for some time.

We must combat lawlessness with proper governance. Punishment has to be rendered as deterrence to other lawless acts.

At this point you must have seen the Olympic coverage video of gymnast, Aly Raisman's parents. You could just see the love and sure enthusiasm the parents have the sport and accomplishments of their daughter.


Enthusiasm is the light, which radiates and encourages others to be their personal best.
