God break our hearts for what breaks yours.  Let empathy and compassion rise. We don’t need more news coverage of your babies being slaughtered and parents crying. We need to you to move in a mighty way.  Lord, we implore you to show yourself. Come to our aid, guide us in our despair, and assist us to break free of the violence in our hearts, homes and communities.  We need more of you Lord and less of the world.  Draw man’s heart and desire back to you heavenly father.  Let your word reign. 

Comfort those families in need right now. To all those who nurture and guide our young; may they be models of peace, teaching our young people by their good example how to resolve conflict without harm, how to care for and respect all life , and how to reach out to others in love.

O God, mercy on those who choose the path of violence. Let us pray for all who are frightened, bewildered, despairing, anxious, angry, broken-hearted.

Heal us Lord in the mighty name of Jesus we pray… Amen!
