God a Had Plan In Mind With Our Design

In my morning prayer with my daughters this morning I became so filled reflecting on God’s perfect design. The nature of a woman is a beautiful thing.  I wish more women would recognize their worth and their God given purpose.  So many times in our strides to make our mark we bend our nature and begin to do things that are unnatural to us as women.  We begin to become something we were never intended to be.

As we celebrate each other on today, International Women’s Day 2013 may the strides of those who fought before us be a beacon of light to a new generation.  Ladies I oblige you to take your roles in society seriously.  I believe to a certain extent we teach people how to treat us by what we allow.

Having each other’s back means cover me and I will cover you. 

Every chance you get take the time to stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow sister, not in judgment or as competitors; but as co-heirs to throne because you are both queens in your own right. Cover each other, pray for one another, bear with your sister because for every race won makes us stronger for the next one as a whole.

Below is a poem I wrote a few years ago to remind us that we are the mothers of the earth not just by the fact that we give birth, but because nurture and fortify life.

You Are A Mother

A mother is a spirit and not a role. 

When you can love someone selflessly you are mother.
When you take responsibility for the greater good you are a mother.
When you have the wisdom to know what is needed before it is asked, You are a mother.
When you take the initiative to prepare for tomorrow, You are a mother.
When you can say nothing at all, but pierce the heart with your voice, You are a mother.
When you can forgive unconditionally time and time again, You are a mother.
When you lead generations, instead of just shepherding the now, You are a mother.
When you work tirelessly, only to be undervalued and underappreciated, You are a mother.
When you have the courage to stand for right and justice against all opposition, You are a mother.
When your confidence and convictions are enough to inspire someone else to be a better person, You are a mother.
When good nutrition becomes vital to not just your well being and vitality; but everyone you may know, Watch out you just may be a mother.
When you yield to a greater power for your strength, Yes, my dear are a MOTHER.

Motherly Wisdom

As a mother of two girls it so important for them to know that there is so much more to them than what is between their legs. We should be should be speaking to our daughters on a WOMB level. They need to understand what means to really bring forth life, which starts with learning yourself, having a relationship with God and submission to God for finding your mate. The plague of dead beat dads can be eradicated if we would start teaching our daughters from a WOMB level. Psalms 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
