Bright Spot | Community Donates Dream Wedding To Wounded Marine

Stories that Uplift the Spirit

Southwest Riverside County wedding vendors are coming together to give a local wounded veteran the wedding of a lifetime. Cpl. Juan Dominguez is set to marry his fiancée, Alexis, in a luxurious wedding in Temecula Valley Wine Country later this month. The two have been engaged since February 2012 after meeting at a parade when Dominguez returned from U.S. Marine Corps combat service in Afghanistan. He lost both legs and his right arm in an explosion in 2010.

Reading this story made my heart smile. Our veterans sacrifice so much for our freedoms each day. I hope more communities come together to celebrate our veterans, not just on major holidays but everyday.
