Today, we celebrate a living legend in the music industry, Patti LaBelle.  One who has shared her gift for over five decades.  Five decades in the music industry!! My goodness, what a blessing.  I have been blessed to see her in concert on a few occasions, and I tell you each time it was like sitting in the living room with a loving aunt.

Nothing But Love, Love for Patti LaBelle

"For over five decades Patricia Louise Holte, known the world over as Patti Labelle, has won two Grammy Awards, countless lifetime achievement honors. As a solo artist and a member of R&B/soul trio Labelle, the 69-year-old diva has released 29 studio albums and nearly 100 singles. Her distinctive vocals and high energy stage show—she can can roll around on the floor and kick off a pair of pumps like no other—has set her in a class all her own." ~ CentricTv Soul Sessions

"When I think of Patti LaBelle, first thing that comes to mind is someone who has withstood the test of time, legendary and iconic in her own right. The Grammy award-winning singer has been in the industry for over 50 years turns 69 today!! It would be impossible to name all of Patti LaBelle’s hits." ~ 105.9 kiss-fm

"Long before Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga were teetering onto the red carpet with their towering wigs, Patti Labelle had jaws dropping with her sky-high hairdos. Known for belting out hits like "Lady Marmalade," "New Attitude" and "On My Own," the Philadelphia-born singer's hairstyles were symbolic of her career trajectory." ~ Huffington Post | Patti Labelle's Hair: The Diva's Most Memorable 'Dos (PHOTOS)

Thank you so much Patti LaBelle for your music, your gift, your dedication, and your love.  May we all learn to just pass it on...on...on.
