Walking With A Purpose

Walking The Illuminated Path

What’s most comfortable for you? Walking backwards, standing still, or walking forward? I know for me walking backwards takes extreme concentration, lots of effort and doesn’t seem natural. Standing still just seems to not make sense unless you are doing something productive while you wait, which is another topic altogether. Walking forward and exploring what new opportunities there are is what I find to be most productive.

Moving In The Right Direction

It’s no coincidence that a person of purpose finds it difficult to remain faithful to a stagnant circumstance.  As a person of purpose you should rebel against a lack of advancement. There is a unique purpose that has been destined to each of us.
Every Child of God has the light (truth) of Christ in them. But it is very important to keep the light of Christ shining in your life by reading, studying, and meditating on the word of God, and applying it in your life. Every move you make should be ordered by the word of God and not according to your fleshly desires.

One of my favorite quotes is from A Purpose Driven Life, “Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it.”
What are you following? Does it align with your purpose?
Once God reveals your true purpose to your heart all things you do must line up to your appointed purpose.

A Movement Should Move Right?

What do you do if you feel there is a lack of progress? It seems you are fighting the same battle time and time again? Maybe we need to understand the way a movement progresses and the stages of a movement.  Bill Moyer’s Eight Stages of a Successful  Social Movement gives an enlightened understanding of social change.

Movements build toward their goals over time, building on a series of phases. Moyer’s concept is important because it combats one of the key weapons of the status quo, which seeks to continually make its opponents feel powerless. The Eight Stages of Successful Social Movements is a practical strategy and action planning model describing eight stages that successful movements progress through over many years.
