Are You Prepared?

Causes and Awareness

Are you prepared in the case of a natural disaster?  National Preparedness Month is all about raising awareness about the need to prepare as much as you can for potential natural disasters.

"Each September since 2004, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has observed National Preparedness Month. During September, FEMA and various local, state, and federal agencies encourage U.S. residents to become better prepared for emergencies and disasters. Approximately 3,000 organizations, including the American Red Cross, Citizen Corps, and CDC, are scheduling events and activities this month in support of the preparedness initiative."~ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Tools You Can Use | Visit ready.gov - Ready is a national public service advertising (PSA) campaign designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to emergencies including natural and man-made disasters.
