Black Girls CODE (BGC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching girls ages 7-17 from underrepresented communities about computer programming and digital technology. Attacking the technology gap and equipping girls for brighter futures.

Founded by Kimberly Bryant, an electrical engineer in 2011. Bryant noticed there were not many people of color in the tech industry and decided to do something about it. Reports Forbes
