Over 50 million people in the us are suffering from hunger. That's 1 in 6 people. September is Hunger Action Month. Across the country food banks are working to raise awareness of the issue and get people involved in the fight against hunger.

Millie Mims of New Life Society, a non-profit aimed at giving food, shelter, and support in Venice Beach, CA. Serving a HOT Vegetarian Meals 7 Days a Week at approximately 4pm at Space 205 on the Venice Beach boardwalk. New life is calling for volunteers to serve and help feed hungry souls. Also, New Life Society could use donations of vegetables, fruit bread, bottled water, paper plates, bowls and/or cash. Paypal donations accepted on their website newlifesocietycalifornia.org
