Billie Holiday Centennial Celebration

Music

“If I am going to sing like someone else, then I don’t need to sing at all.” ~ Billie Holiday
Art By: Artist Dominic Draws

Billie Holiday was one of the most influential jazz vocalist of all time. My first introduction to the work of Billie Holiday was with the movie starring Dianna Ross, “Lady Sings The Blues”. However, the movie was just that, an introduction. When you begin to study an artist you truly get a feel for the brilliance of the person and gift they shared.  Despite personal tragedy and many adversities we celebrate the legacy of Billie Holiday 100 years later.

Join the celebration visit the Official Billie Holiday website.
