Just Be Still

Walking The Illuminated Path

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." ~ Psalm 46:10

Have you ever tried to calm a small child with an owie (wound)? How Do I Quite My Mind?

The first step to quite mind is to become fully present in the moment. Realize the mind isn’t going to stop thinking. The goal of mindfulness isn’t to suppress thinking, but to surpass it.

3 Steps You Can Take To Quiet Your Mind

  • Sit Comfortably and Relax Your Body
  • Get In Touch With Your Breathing
  • Establish A Focal Point & Center Your Thoughts (Warning! May take some time)

There are many blessings in stillness. We have to create the space to be still in our lives (Make it a priority). Born out of stillness comes clarity, peace, and serenity. Still moments hold you on days when life becomes mundane and overwhelming. You can close your eyes and visualize the time it was just you and God. Being still establishes a center you can rely on when life becomes imbalanced.

May you always walk in peace, and out of stillness become one with your mind, body, and spirit.
