Engaged Nation
2016 Presidential Election
Regarding the GOP debate I am reminded of the bible verse found in Titus 3:9 "But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless."
Arguing and quarreling is fruitless and leads no where. A healthy debate should offer solutions and a plan of action.
"Debate is an essential tool for developing and maintaining democracy and open societies." ~ International Debate Education Association, idebate.org

As responsible citizens we should engage in the political discussion, and learn about key issues. That is why I felt it is important to have the Engaged Nation segment on the blog. The aim is to join the political discussion and take an active role in legislation.
Vote Smart is valuable resource for the engaged voter. Check out the website and use the "vote easy" tool to see what candidate aligns with your views on key issues.
We have a lot of issues to resolve, but together we can make it better. Division is not the answer. We are the "United" states, and we need to find way to work cohesively together. There are many creative minds and brilliant leaders in our country it is time we pool our talents to press forward to a brighter tomorrow.
Eye on 2016...
