Don't Fight, Shine Your Light

Don't Fight, Shine Your Light

There are many bad things that push us toward discouragement and defeat, but thinking and responding negatively only makes things worse. Instead we must think correctly and accurately. This is what the apostle Paul meant when he wrote “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
I recently stumbled upon a wonderful article Shine Light Instead of Spreading Darkness: The Great Positivity Experiment that totally exemplified the proper way to respond to negativity.   We should all be the change we want to see.  Yes negative people can be a challenge, but so can positive people.
Have you ever been faced with trying to stay positive when others around you are negative? A negative person can throw your best laid plans to be positive right out the window. Check out 7 Ways to Deal with the Negative People in your Life, and remember for every act of darkness you can be a source of light.
