Let The Light In
Feeling Blue? Resist the pull to sit in darkness and be all alone. Open a window. Let the light in and feel the natural breeze. Have a cup of your favorite herbal tea. Really receive that compliment from a stranger, don’t dismiss it. Do a random act of kindness for someone else. Turn on your favorite upbeat tunes. Play with a child. Seeing the world through eyes of child is always uplifting. Go for a walk or a run, nothing like endorphins to make you feel better. Read your favorite scripture (Psalms 46 is a great one). Write a list of gratitude. In other words, don’t give into feelings of despair. Despair only wants to take you deeper and deeper into a black hole. You have to fight to find the light.
