Motivational Minute
In some ways our kids may follow in our footsteps, but it's important to let them do the walking. ~A.M.
As loving parents, we should model your parenting behavior after God’s own heart. Each day God allows us the free will to choose. God also provides instruction, loves us, and extends grace when we make mistakes. One of the most difficult hurdles to cross as a parent is letting go and allowing our children do the things we have taught them. From conception we make choices for our children, but there comes a crossroad when we must allow them to do the choosing.
Although difficult and at times uncomfortable giving our children autonomy is a necessary part of their development. Remember the promises in Proverbs 22: 6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Our parents got through it, and we will too. Be Encouraged!
